Sr Tax Accountant, CPA
A dynamic CPA firm is currently seeking a full-time Senior Tax Accountant to join its team. With offices in New York and Florida, you will join a team of bright professionals providing accounting and tax services to clients in various industries. You must be able to manage projects, work under time pressures, multitask, and communicate effectively. You should be proactive and results-oriented.
We are looking for an individual with the “right stuff” to be mentored into a Partner role. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has the drive and desire to thrive. This is a great opportunity to work for a great company and grow your career.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of federal tax returns – required (1040, 1041, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
- Financial Statements
- Tax projections
- Review of IRS notices and correspondence
- Hands-on approach with clientele as you develop and maintain relationships
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of professional experience working in a CPA firm
- BA/BS degree in Accounting
- CPA certification required
- Knowledge in preparation of a tax return (required)
- Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using CCH Axcess Tax (preferred but not required)
- QuickBooks
