Meet David

David Fettes brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry, influenced by his family’s deep roots in upstate New York’s hospitality scene. Raised in Florida, he developed a passion for hospitality inspired by his industry-professional parents. With a core belief in the importance of good food, fellowship, and celebration, Dave embodies a Servant-Leader, having mastered various roles within restaurant operations.

His leadership style, marked by determination and kindness, is evident in his significant contributions to elevated-casual dining and the growth of emerging brands. Approachable and quick-thinking, Dave emphasizes the value of mentorship and resource leverage for creative problem-solving in the face of industry challenges.

After leaving West Florida in 2003, Dave settled in Alabama in 2007, leading successful businesses for nearly 15 years. In early 2023, he joined Goodwin Recruiting, driven by his passion for helping others achieve their dreams. Despite this shift, Dave remains deeply connected to the hospitality industry, driven by a commitment to facilitating others in achieving their goals.

Currently residing in Birmingham, AL, Dave shares his home with his children, Kensley and MarkDavid, and their “frenchie,” Francis. Beyond the office, the family enjoys outdoor activities, embracing Birmingham’s landscape and Southern Charm through hiking, biking, swimming, and relishing the mild seasons.
