Accounting Manager

📍 Champaign, Illinois

💰 $70,000 – $85,000

As Controller, you’ll ensure accuracy, provide insight, and help shape decisions that drive profitability and growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Lead month-end/year-end close, reconcile results, and explain variances
  • Manage tax compliance, treasury, cash flow, and banking relationships
  • Build budgets and forecasts that guide decision-making
  • Translate financial data into insights for operations and sales
  • Track KPIs, monitor costs, and strengthen profitability
  • Lead and develop the finance team while building cross-functional partnerships
  • Present financial results clearly to both financial and non-financial leaders
  • Support contract reviews, auditors, lenders, and regulators

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance
  • Proven ability in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Financial systems expertise, strong leadership, and communication skills
