Nurse Practitioner Requirements & Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP preferred) in New York
- Previous experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under physician supervision
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
Nurse Practitioner Must Haves:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including exams and history reviews
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to support clinical decisions
- Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate lifestyle modifications
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
Nurse Practitioner Preferred Background & Skills:
- Familiarity with urgent care protocols and electronic medical records
- Comfortable managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions
- Passion for providing patient-centered care in a community-based setting
