Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced food manufacturer, is seeking a seasoned Director of Procurement to lead their sourcing and supply chain strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Food Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of procurement experience, including 5+ years in food manufacturing leadership
  • Proven record of delivering measurable cost savings and process improvements
  • Deep knowledge of FDA, USDA, FSMA, and food industry vendor compliance
  • Strong negotiation and contract management expertise
  • ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience with global supply chains
  • Certification (CPSM, CIPS, APICS)
  • Knowledge of ESG/sustainable sourcing practices

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies aligned with company growth
  • Manage sourcing of ingredients, packaging, and indirect materials
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and long-term partnerships
  • Monitor market trends and proactively manage supply risk
  • Establish procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sustainability goals
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team
