Fire Protection System Designer Benefits

Fire Protection System Designer Requirements and Responsibilities

  • 5+ years in sprinkler system design
  • NFPA 13 knowledge
  • NICET certification is HIGHLY desired – level 3
  • AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, and/or HydraCAD proficiency
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and clients
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Create detailed fire protection sprinkler system designs using CAD software and relevant tools
  • Select appropriate sprinkler types, pipe sizes, and other system components to optimize performance
  • Prepare design documentation: layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material lists
