A leading distributor of industrial, specialty, and medical gases, as well as welding and industrial equipment, is seeking an outgoing, energetic, and hardworking Fill Plant Employee to join their team in Friendswood, TX. This role is essential to ensuring the safe and efficient filling of propane and gas cylinders for a variety of industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely fill propane and other gas cylinders following established procedures and safety protocols
- Read and comprehend Material Safety Data (MSD) sheets
- Operate hand tools, controls, and material handling equipment
- Regularly use hands and arms to handle, move, and operate objects and equipment
- Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell during shifts
- Routinely lift 25–75 lbs; occasionally lift more than 76 lbs
- Push/pull liquid containers weighing up to 1,000 lbs with the aid of equipment
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and participate in ongoing safety training
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to read and comprehend MSD sheets
- Physically able to perform all job duties, including lifting and moving heavy objects
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
- Strong attention to safety and detail
