We are currently seeking a Public Works Inspector to join our team and ensure all public works construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Public Works Inspector Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of public works construction projects (streets, utilities, grading, drainage, etc)
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and applicable safety standards
• Document progress and issues with detailed field reports and photos
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, utility companies, and city personnel
• Track project milestones and assist with punch-list completion and final closeouts
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and stormwater management practices

Public Works Inspector Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in public works inspection
• Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and public infrastructure systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Preferred Qualifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months):
• Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) certification
• Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI) certification
