Catering Assistant Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute catering events, ensuring top-tier service for high-profile clientele
  • Lead daily catering operations with attention to detail and service excellence
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and guide staff throughout events
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP)
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and other financial aspects of the operation
  • Train and mentor team members on company standards and procedures

Catering Assistant Manager Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in food service or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in high-volume food service
  • Background in upscale catering, banquets, or resort operations strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with vendor management and inventory control systems
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety protocols
  • Ability to operate a commercial vehicle
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays (approx. 50 hours/week)
