Join a premier waterfront destination as Dockmaster, where exceptional guest service and operational excellence meet. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader passionate about the marina lifestyle and capable of overseeing daily operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction at one of the area’s top boating locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily marina operations to ensure a seamless and safe guest experience
- Supervise, schedule, and train dock staff to maintain high customer service standards
- Assist boaters with docking, mooring, and departures
- Manage overnight stays, ensuring proper dock placement and electrical access
- Coordinate and oversee all boat charters
- Organize and track fuel deliveries with vendors
- Maintain and charge Moke vehicles for marina use
- Encourage and monitor guest reviews (tracked and incentivized)
- Utilize Dockwa App for reservations, payment processing, and guest communication
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of docks and marina facilities
- Enforce marina rules and ensure only authorized vehicles access dock areas
- Conduct routine inspections of docks, slips, and utility systems
- Prepare for and respond to emergencies, including severe weather events
- Track maintenance and capital improvement needs
- Build relationships with boaters and marine businesses to increase traffic
- Set daily and weekly sales goals and review performance with team
- Complete financial reports and submit to General Manager
- Participate in marina and surrounding area clean-up activities
- Lead by example and attend weekly operations meetings
Qualifications
- Previous marina, boating, or hospitality management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal communication abilities
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using digital tools such as Dockwa and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to perform dock-related tasks and emergency procedures
