We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Human Resources Director to lead and manage all aspects of the HR function. This individual will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management, ensuring HR operations run smoothly and support the company’s overall goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who brings deep HR expertise, a passion for people development, and a commitment to fostering an engaging and growth-oriented culture.

Director of Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Partner with company leadership to design, implement, and manage HR programs and policies across recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, from job posting and candidate sourcing to onboarding and orientation.
  • Manage performance appraisal systems and compensation review processes.
  • Administer company benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication of benefits, policies, and programs.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and training initiatives.
  • Research and recommend HR best practices and process improvements.
  • Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and integrity in all HR matters.

Director of Human Resources Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources management or related field.
  • 5+ years at Director-level
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices.
  • Proven experience in recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
