Requirements & Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in building systems maintenance
• 5+ years leading field service or maintenance teams in federal, industrial, or large-scale environments
• Trade certification in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical
• EPA Universal 608 Certification
• CMMS proficiency (Maximo, TRIRIGA, or similar)
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Strong understanding of OSHA, CFR, IEC, and federal maintenance compliance
• Must obtain and maintain a favorable CBP Background Investigation (BI) adjudication

Must Haves — Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee daily preventive and corrective maintenance workflows across multiple government facilities
• Manage technician schedules, assignments, and field performance
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors performing specialized building system work
• Ensure work meets performance standards within the CBP PWS
• Lead safety briefings, site inspections, and adherence to OSHA and federal safety standards
• Review and approve work orders, service reports, and system documentation within the CMMS
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and support rapid deployment of field teams
• Collaborate weekly with government representatives to prioritize projects and discuss system conditions
• Maintain documentation for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water, and fire-suppression systems compliance

Preferred Background & Skills

• PMP or CAPM certification
• OSHA 30 or NFPA 70E training
• Experience supervising multi-site federal facilities contracts
• Familiarity with SCA/DBA labor compliance requirements
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Effective communicator with proven ability to represent technical needs to government CORs
• Experience in a hybrid field/office leadership role within federal contracting environments
