Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in building systems maintenance
- 5+ years leading field service or maintenance teams in federal, industrial, or large-scale environments
- Trade certification in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical
- EPA Universal 608 Certification
- CMMS proficiency (Maximo, TRIRIGA, or similar)
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Strong understanding of OSHA, CFR, IEC, and federal maintenance compliance
- Must obtain and maintain a favorable CBP Background Investigation (BI) adjudication
Must Haves — Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee daily preventive and corrective maintenance workflows across multiple government facilities
- Manage technician schedules, assignments, and field performance
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors performing specialized building system work
- Ensure work meets performance standards within the CBP PWS
- Lead safety briefings, site inspections, and adherence to OSHA and federal safety standards
- Review and approve work orders, service reports, and system documentation within the CMMS
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and support rapid deployment of field teams
- Collaborate weekly with government representatives to prioritize projects and discuss system conditions
- Maintain documentation for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water, and fire-suppression systems compliance
Preferred Background & Skills
- PMP or CAPM certification
- OSHA 30 or NFPA 70E training
- Experience supervising multi-site federal facilities contracts
- Familiarity with SCA/DBA labor compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Effective communicator with proven ability to represent technical needs to government CORs
- Experience in a hybrid field/office leadership role within federal contracting environments
