Corporate Director of Facilities
A well-established, multi-unit hospitality group seeks a Corporate Director of Facilities to lead design, construction, renovation, and facilities operations across a high-volume restaurant portfolio. This hands-on, strategic leader will guide multi-year development plans, optimize the built environment, and oversee commercial kitchen design and build-out, balancing day-to-day operations with long-term capital planning and executive collaboration.
What You Will Lead
Facilities Operations & Portfolio Management:
- Direct maintenance programs, audits, vendor performance, and service contracts
- Oversee R&M, cleaning, and renovation vendors; evaluate new technologies and solutions
- Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation
- Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning
New Construction & Commercial Kitchen Design:
- Lead full-cycle development for new locations, from planning through turnover
- Serve as primary liaison with architects, GCs, designers, landlords, and agencies
- Drive commercial kitchen layout, equipment specification, workflow design, and installation
- Manage timelines, quality control, cost performance, and adherence to specifications
- Review LOIs, work letters, and space plans with internal real estate partners
Concept & Brand Development:
- Support emerging concepts by aligning equipment, layout, menu needs, and design intent
- Ensure each project reflects operational efficiency, aesthetic standards, and guest experience goals
- Advise senior leadership on long-term growth and asset strategy
- Oversee multi-million-dollar capital programs and all ground-up development
What You Bring
- 10–15+ years’ experience overseeing complex, multi-unit construction and facilities operations
- Proven leadership in hospitality or multi-site consumer environments (executive level preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (construction management or related field)
- Experience designing or overseeing commercial kitchens in restaurants or hospitality
- Strong project management, construction coordination, and multi-site operations expertise
- Financial acumen (proformas, capex planning, budget oversight)
- Expertise in building systems, vendor sourcing, and service contract execution
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of building codes, health codes, and regulatory requirements
