Chief Estimator- Commercial Electrical Construction

Chief Estimator Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an electrical estimator in electrical construction.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing direct reports with an estimating emphasis.

Chief Estimator Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience using ConEST Intellibid software preferred.
• Familiarity with estimating low voltage systems such as nurse call, voice/data, security, and access control.
• Knowledge of estimating medium voltage and utility electrical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Chief Estimator Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of estimators to achieve company revenue targets.
• Develop and implement effective training methods and procedures.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals to determine best value.
• Review bidding opportunities and manage department workload efficiently.
• Deliver accurate proposals through various methods, including design/build and pre-construction budgeting.
• Collaborate with the Senior Management team to design and implement company initiatives.
