Beverage Director – Premier Modern Steakhouse | Minneapolis, MN

An exceptional opportunity awaits an accomplished Beverage Director to join one of Minneapolis’ most distinguished modern steakhouses. This refined, high-volume concept combines timeless elegance with contemporary energy, offering guests an elevated dining experience anchored by culinary excellence and a sophisticated beverage program.

We are seeking a poised and visionary leader with a deep appreciation for wine, spirits, and hospitality. The ideal candidate brings a balance of creativity and operational precision—someone who understands that exceptional service begins with genuine passion and a meticulous eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate and oversee a comprehensive beverage program, including wine, spirits, and craft cocktails, aligned with the restaurant’s elevated culinary vision.
• Develop and maintain an award-caliber wine list that reflects both breadth and depth, with thoughtful selections from established and emerging producers.
• Partner closely with the Executive Chef and senior leadership to design pairings and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Lead, train, and inspire front-of-house teams in beverage knowledge, salesmanship, and service excellence.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Stay attuned to market trends, introducing innovative ideas while preserving the restaurant’s sophisticated brand identity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of beverage leadership experience in an upscale or fine dining environment.
• Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixology; sommelier certification or equivalent expertise preferred.
• Proven success in training teams, managing costs, and driving profitable growth through program development.
• Exemplary communication, organization, and leadership skills with a polished and professional presence.
