Director of Digital Transformation & Security
A high-growth organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on IT leader to serve as Director of Digital Transformation & Security. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can architect and execute a comprehensive technology strategy while ensuring robust cybersecurity and scalable infrastructure. The position combines tactical execution, strategic leadership, and governance oversight in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business growth objectives
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across departments
- Partner with executive leadership to ensure IT capabilities scale with organizational priorities
- Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage and optimize IT infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Oversee major IT projects and vendor relationships
- Administer Microsoft 365 services and support engineering/design teams with customized workflows and file management
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Design and implement cybersecurity frameworks and protocols
- Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and lead incident response efforts
- Promote a culture of security awareness through training and internal controls
- Governance & Compliance
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Ensure audit readiness and alignment with industry regulations
- Team Development & Support
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff
- Troubleshoot complex issues and continuously improve IT operations and security posture
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics
Qualifications:
- Experience
- Minimum of 10 years in IT roles, including 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise IT environments and cybersecurity programs
- Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of networking (VLANs, firewalls), storage systems, and enterprise platforms
- Proficiency in scripting and automation for scalable deployments
- Expertise in cybersecurity tools and best practices
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user provisioning, policy enforcement, and security configuration
- Experience supporting SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM environments is highly desirable
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Microsoft 365 certifications are a strong plus
