Managing Director – Special Situations Private Equity
About the Opportunity
Our client is building a new class of public-market investment platform, designed to reallocate capital around one of the most asymmetric assets of our time: Bitcoin. Rooted in special situations investing and built to compound, they are pioneering a transformational model unlike traditional funds.
This is not a corporate salary seat or a slow bureaucracy. The team is lean, fast-moving, and impact-driven. They are looking for leaders who thrive in high-stakes, high-speed environments and want to help build something disruptive from the ground up.
The Role
We are seeking a Managing Director with at least 7 years of experience to source, underwrite, and execute transformative transactions. This is a true operator role—ideal for someone who excels at driving deals from concept through close and wants to play a hands-on leadership role in building a new investment model.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and lead execution of special situations and transformative transactions
- Take full ownership from origination through closing
- Partner cross-border on structuring and capital formation
- Operate with agility and precision, cutting through unnecessary process
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 7+ years in investment banking, restructuring, private equity, or special situations
- Proven ability to originate and close complex deals
- Highly resourceful, entrepreneurial, and decisive under pressure
- Motivated by building, not maintaining, and comfortable with ambiguity
Compensation
- Base salary: $250K+ plus bonus and incentives
