Accounting Manager – Benefits and Compensation

Accounting Manager – Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software (NetSuite preferred)
• Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Accounting Manager – Must Haves

• Proven supervisory/leadership experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Commitment to ethical standards, professionalism, and discretion
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Accounting Manager – Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience coaching, training, and mentoring staff
• Prior hands-on experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP systems)
• Event accounting/operations experience (preferred in venues, entertainment, or hospitality)
• Ability to step into multiple finance functions when needed
• Strong analytical skills for reconciliations, reporting, and variance analysis
