We’re seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director of Business Development to drive growth across our Broadcast Control Center and Live Events divisions. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a proven track record in sales or business development who excels at identifying new opportunities, cultivating high-value client relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver tailored, impactful solutions. Director of Business Development – Benefits and Compensation:

Director of Business Development- Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within broadcast, production, or live events
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Proven track record of revenue generation and deal closure
  • Salesforce experience (CRM management, reporting, workflows)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events

Director of Business Development – Must Haves:

  • Prospect and build a pipeline of new business within the broadcast control center and live event production space
  • Host clients and lead tours of the Broadcast Control Center in Raleigh
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Technical Ops, Logistics) on proposal development and budgeting
  • Lead preparation and submission of proposals and RFP responses
  • Strategically manage outbound outreach and weekly activity goals
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships that generate recurring revenue

Director of Business Development – Background & Skills:

  • Existing relationships in the broadcast, sports, or live events industries
  • Prior experience working in a production, entertainment, or sports agency environment
  • Advanced Salesforce customization and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific budgeting and proposal development best practices
  • Passion for sports and live entertainment with the ability to translate that enthusiasm into impactful client partnerships
