Savory Sous Chef – Benefits and Compensation

Savory Sous Chef – Requirements & Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of management experience in high-volume savory kitchens
· At least 1 year of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining or upscale environment
· Excellent communication, team leadership, and conflict resolution skills
· Ability to manage a 45+ hour work week with open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
· ServSafe certified and proficient in food safety and sanitation protocols
Savory Sous Chef – Preferred Background & Skills
· Strong understanding of savory menu development, batch recipe production, and kitchen operations
· Proven experience with food and labor cost control, inventory, and purchasing from approved vendors
· Skilled in leading, training, and coaching kitchen teams with a focus on execution and professional growth
· Able to coordinate with event planners and front-of-house teams for smooth service and event execution
· Proficient with commercial kitchen equipment and troubleshooting repairs as needed
· Passionate about consistency, quality control, and exceeding guest expectations
· Experienced in maintaining kitchen standards aligned with health code compliance and brand SOPs
· Collaborative leader who supports cross-departmental communication and team engagement
