We’re hiring a CNC Machinist – Level III for a facility in Ontario, CA. In this role, you’ll set up, operate, and troubleshoot a range of conventional machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to produce high-precision components. You’ll translate engineering drawings and specifications into finished parts, determining the best machining approach and working independently to ensure parts meet or exceed quality standards.

At this level, you’re expected to bring strong technical expertise and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.

CNC Machinist – Requirements & Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience running manual or CNC mills and lathes
  • 10+ years in a machine shop environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and machine to tolerances of ±0.0002”
  • Skilled in performing first article inspections (FAIs) and making adjustments as needed
  • Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, drop indicators
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be available for first shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) and open to overtime
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office, MRP systems)

CNC Machinist – Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing
  • CNC machinist certification or technical training
  • Familiarity with 6S / ISO quality systems
  • Experience lapping parts to tolerances of ±0.00005”
  • Ability to guide or mentor less experienced machinists
  • Clear communication skills and attention to detail
