A mission-driven food enterprise is seeking a Culinary Director to lead operations in a fast-paced commissary and catering environment. This senior role oversees kitchen operations, team leadership, menu development, quality control, and culinary innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily kitchen and catering operations, ensuring food safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Supervise a team of 50+ across culinary, production, and special events.
- Optimize processes, manage cost controls, and drive staff development.
- Collaborate on menu planning, client satisfaction, and expansion strategies.
- Create and track KPIs; improve operations through data analysis and feedback.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in high-volume culinary leadership; prior Executive Chef experience required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills.
- Hands-on cooking ability and deep knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Willing to work weekends/holidays and perform physical aspects of the role.
