Job Title: Executive Catering Chef

Location: Charlotte, NC


Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Catering Chef to oversee all culinary aspects of off-premise catering events. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in high-volume environments and can consistently deliver exceptional food and service standards. The ideal candidate has extensive off-site catering experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a dynamic team under pressure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all culinary operations for off-premise catering events, ensuring adherence to quality, consistency, and brand standards
  • Manage back-of-house (BOH) staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Collaborate with the Catering Manager to align logistics, timelines, and service expectations for each event
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards across all mobile and off-site kitchens
  • Oversee event execution: packing, transport, setup, service, and breakdown
  • Ensure timely production and execution of all menu items per recipe and presentation specifications
  • Maintain event inventory, monitor food cost, and minimize waste
  • Serve as a brand ambassador at events, maintaining a polished and professional demeanor at all times
  • Proactively identify and address any culinary or operational issues during events

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional catering experience; at least 2 years in an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef capacity
  • Must have off-premise catering experience (corporate events, weddings, private functions, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead high-volume events in dynamic environments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and leadership under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • ServSafe certification (preferred)
