We are looking for a VP of Supply Chain & Purchase for our growing Fast-Casual Long Island-based hospitality group. As a VP of Purchasing and Supply Chain, you will work with interdepartmental teams, including sales, R&D, regulatory, engineering, logistics, purchasing, and finance departments to efficiently launch new items. We offer a healthy people culture and growth opportunities. Salary up to 200K. Working directly with the COO, CEO, Director of Culinary, and Director of Operations. This is 5 Days in the office on Long Island.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, planning, warehousing, and
control of materials. Forecast replenishment needs to be the delivery of the finished product.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory and establishes controls to ensure the highest level of performance based on
key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.
• Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure the timely acquisition of
materials to support product launches. Develop strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize
value of the entire operation.
• Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts. Develop and manage departmental budgets
accordingly. Establish annual goals and objectives, (including stretch targets) in coordination
with corporate objectives.
• Collaborate accordingly with Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams on necessary projects.
• Lead and coach others in maintaining excellence on quality control, and safety. Develop and
continuously improve supplier programs.
• Determine key supply chain KPIs. Provide constructive feedback.
• Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to
procurement.
Skills and Certifications:
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in purchasing and materials management roles.
• Hands-on experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP MM, AP
Modules, SAP Plant Maintenance, etc.)
• Excellent Analytical and Negotiation skills.
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills.
• Good Time-Management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Innovative.
• Team Player.
• Advanced certifications are a plus.
Education Requirements: Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance)
Masters or MBA preferred.
