Position: Senior Accountant in a Manufacturing Environment
We are an established and respected manufacturing company in Houston searching for a financial partner who will play a key role in steering our business forward. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of post-grad accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a team of up to 5 people
- Experience or knowledge of Power BI would be nice but not required
- Power Query
- High proficiency in Excel / Excel Macros and MS office produces
- Experience with customizing reports
- Sage 100 or 300 REQUIRED
- ERP system experience required
- Experience with implementations and system administration
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducts comprehensive monthly analysis to monitor trends and variances in revenue, costs, and other profit and Loss accounts
- Plays an integral role in organizing and executing the annual physical inventory audit
- Performs monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure financial data accuracy
- Evaluates inventory and CapEx balances recommending adjustments as needed
- Prepares a range of reports as needed and requested
- Contributes significantly and manages the month-end closing process
- Participates in system implementation projects across all departments
