Position Overview
As an Associate with our firm, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of workers’ compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity, including:
- Handle all aspects of litigation from intake up to settlement or trial
- Interact well with our clients for legal consultation or advice, which includes insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators
- Create litigation plans
- Proactively handle files with precision and expertise
- Create budget plans, if necessary
- Prepare cases for trial and conduct them while maintaining exceptional client interaction
- Negotiate or transact any matter for or on behalf of clients
- Represent clients at depositions or other discovery matters
- Communicate with clarity and professional integrity to convey complex legal matters
- Guide non-attorney team members as needed
What we expect you’ve got
- Member of the California State Bar in good standing
- 5+ years of experience as an attorney in Workers’ Compensation Defense
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable using technology in a paperless environment
