We are seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager to drive wedding and social event revenue through strategic selling, strong client relationships, strong closing, and flawless event execution. Catering Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Catering Sales Manager in a full-service, luxury hotel with extensive catering business
  • Experience in the Chicago market is ideal
  • A fearless and motivated seller and closer, with a "go get the business" mindset
  • Proven ability to identify prospects, and close deals with strong negotiation skills
  • Specific and successful experience driving wedding and social event revenue
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative communication style
  • Detail oriented and strategically minded, with a talent for nurturing long-term business partnerships

Catering Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hotel leadership to identify key business needs and execute targeted sales strategies across Wedding, Social and Corporate segments
  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts, develop top clients through customized account development plans, and maximize production from existing relationships
  • Identify new business opportunities, research industry trends and target companies for strategic outreach
  • Handle inquiries, pricing, proposals, and contracts efficiently; manage all stages of the sales process from RFP to final contract and event planning, ensuring timely follow-ups and high conversion rates
  • Prepare and distribute BEOs, coordinate internal communication, and maintain accurate client records and booking activities to ensure seamless execution
