About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to drive innovation in fiberglass tank design and manufacturing. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with practical manufacturing knowledge to ensure products are engineered for safety, performance, and cost efficiency. You will serve as a key link between sales, manufacturing, and quality assurance—helping transform customer needs into reliable, high-performance fiberglass products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of fiberglass tanks, ensuring compliance with ASTM/RTP-1 standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, calculations, and material testing to validate performance and safety.
  • Research and evaluate raw materials, recommending optimal processes for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams from concept through production.
  • Review, approve, and implement design modifications and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure manufacturability and long-term product reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree or composites/FRP certification preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in production or plant management.
  • Proven hands-on experience with fiberglass or composite manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with design/engineering software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
