We are looking for a Director of Property Management! Our ideal candidate will have expertise in property management for commercial, retail, and multi-family housing, will have experience leading a team of property managers, and will have a true passion for delivering high-quality tenant experiences. Our next leader will be personable and outgoing, will be comfortable with conversations with tenants and ownership, and will be consistent, reliable, and work with integrity. 

 

Director of Property Management Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in property management
  • Experience with Commercial, Retail, and multifamily housing required
  • System proficiency with AppFolio and Yardi Breeze required. Strong Excel and MS Office skills also required
  • Experience working with contractors is required
  • Strong knowledge of Los Angeles Real Estate compliance and laws is required
  • Must be detail-orientated and proactive with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish would be ideal but is not required
  • Must have reliable transportation

Director of Property Management Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of assistant property managers with consistency and integrity
  • Provide leadership to all team members, including property managers, maintenance personnel, vendors, and contractors
  • Manage tenant relationships with urgency and accountability
  • Support lease compliance, accounting and collections, invoicing and reporting
  • Ensure regular property inspections for operations, maintenance, and compliance
  • Prepare and present regular reports to ownership on occupancy, performance metrics, and property status
  • Create recommendations for property improvements and CapEx expenses
  • Deliver cost savings initiatives to ownership and leadership
  • Other duties as assigned
