We are looking for an Asset Manager to protect and enhance the financial performance and physical integrity of a affordable housing and commercial real estate portfolio. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Administration, this role plays a key part in driving long-term financial strength, operational excellence, and portfolio sustainability.
Asset Manager Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an annual asset management strategy to achieve financial and operational objectives.
- Analyze monthly financial statements, property inspections, and compliance reports to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee capital projects, energy efficiency initiatives, and sustainability programs across the portfolio.
- Manage commercial leases and assess property management agreements to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead monthly review meetings with property management teams and collaborate internally on cash flow planning, refinancing, and compliance matters.
- Prepare and present portfolio performance reports to senior leadership.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering professional growth, accountability, and development.
Asset Manager Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in asset management, property management, or related fields.
- Understanding of real estate finance, LIHTC, and affordable housing programs.
- Excellent financial analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret legal agreements and financial projections.
