Yard Supervisor – Metals & Recycling Operations
We need a hands-on Yard Supervisor to lead daily operations, organize workflow, and keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. If you’re a natural leader who thrives outdoors and knows how to keep a team motivated and on-task, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities for Yard Supervisor :
- Lead, mentor, and motivate yard personnel while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
- Oversee daily yard operations—loading, unloading, sorting, and processing scrap materials.
- Coordinate with leadership to hit operational goals and ensure efficient inventory control.
- Solve problems on the fly, keeping the yard organized and running at peak efficiency.
- Step in for the General Manager when needed, assisting with training, audits, and inspections.
Key Qualifications for Yard Supervisor:
- 2+ years of supervisory or crew lead experience; scrap or heavy industrial background preferred.
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Solid communication and people-management skills, with a focus on teamwork and respect.
