Operations Manager – Environmental Services
Ready to take charge of operations at a fast-moving, niche environmental services company? This privately held business specializes in the pickup and decommissioning of empty pressurized cylinders—think propane, helium, refrigerants, and medical oxygen. Serving a growing base of commercial and industrial clients, the company plays a critical role in safe, compliant recycling—and they’re looking for a hands-on leader to keep things running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily field and facility operations
- Manage drivers and yard crews
- Oversee scheduling, logistics, and inventory flow
- Ensure strict safety and environmental compliance (DOT, OSHA, EPA)
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and team performance
- Support hiring, training, and development of operations staff
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years in operations, logistics, recycling, or industrial services
- Experience managing teams and working with hazardous materials
- Strong problem-solver with great communication skills
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA regs
- CDL or hazmat experience a plus
