Well-established, family-owned restaurant located in a seasonal tourist destination, seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager who is passionate about operational excellence, team leadership, and long-term impact.
Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the Entire Operation – Oversee all aspects of restaurant management, ensuring high standards of food, service, and cleanliness.
- Drive Staffing Excellence – Hire, train, schedule, and lead year-round and seasonal staff with empathy, accountability, and clarity.
- Deliver Outstanding Guest Experiences – Foster a culture of exceeding expectations, one positive surprise at a time.
- Maintain Systems & Standards – Implement checklists, cleaning cycles, PAR levels, and vendor communication with consistency and precision.
- Be Hands-On – Learn every role in the restaurant and be ready to jump in as needed; humility and team spirit are non-negotiable.
- Prepare for Volume – Maintain operational control in a business built on speed, consistency, and efficiency during peak season.
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications:
- Experienced restaurant manager with a proven track record in high-volume environments
- Strong communicator and team builder with emotional intelligence and high integrity
- Detail-oriented and process-driven, yet people-first in approach
- Thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal setting and is ready to lead by example
- Desires long-term stability and the island lifestyle
- Comfortable in a high-visibility community role with strong local ties
- Experience working with J1 and H2B visa staff
- Prior background in fast casual restaurants
- Familiarity with data-driven scheduling and ordering systems
Restaurant General Manager Compensation & Perks:
