Executive Chef – Upscale Hotel | Minneapolis, MN

Overview:

Our client, a well-established and upscale full-service hotel located in the heart of Minneapolis, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Chef to lead its culinary operations. Known for delivering exceptional guest experiences and high culinary standards, this hotel offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven culinary professional to take the helm of a prestigious kitchen.

Position Summary:

As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring top-tier food quality, creative menu execution, and efficient kitchen management. This role requires strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and a deep understanding of the financial and operational aspects of a high-volume, upscale kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure seamless service and high-quality food execution.
  • Lead and mentor the culinary team, fostering a positive, growth-oriented kitchen culture.
  • Manage food cost, labor, inventory, and vendor relationships to maintain budgetary goals and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership to align culinary offerings with the overall guest experience.
  • Uphold and exceed standards in food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dining outlets and events.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef in an upscale hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and inspire a diverse culinary team.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and P&L management.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-caliber guest experiences and maintaining culinary excellence.
  • Creative, organized, and passionate about refined cuisine and hospitality.

  • Competitive base salary with strong bonus potential of 20% of base salary
