We are seeking a Service Director to lead front-of-house operations for a dynamic, chef-driven concept in NYC. The ideal candidate is a hospitality-driven professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for great service, and a deep appreciation for wine and market-driven cuisine. This is a full-time, evening-focused role with a supportive and sustainable work culture—offering a set schedule and a healthy work-life balance.
Service Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily FOH operations and support team success across service, training, and scheduling
- Lead service standards, guest experience, and floor management during dinner service
- Act as liaison between BOH, bar, and FOH to ensure seamless operations
- Uphold DOH compliance and safety standards
- Manage reservations and event execution in coordination with the BOH and beverage teams
- Assist with staffing, performance management, and ongoing FOH development
- Participate in financial oversight including labor and supply cost management
Service Director Qualifications:
- 2+ years of FOH leadership experience in upscale dining
- Strong wine knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Excellent communication, team-building, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of reservation systems, Microsoft Office, and FOH supply management
- Experience with inventory and vendor coordination preferred
Service Director Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary 70,000.00 -80,000.00 per year
