Controller Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including AP/AR, credit approval, collections, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, working with external auditors and tax advisors to support audits and filings
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making—including acquisitions and capital investments
• Mentor and support accounting team members, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement
• Analyze financial trends to uncover cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Legal, and other departments to ensure financial strategies align with company goals
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems, and reporting tools
• A collaborative mindset and ability to lead and inspire a team
