Our client, a well-established food manufacturing operation, is seeking a Plant Superintendent to lead second-shift production. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a strong balance of people leadership, food safety discipline, and operational execution.

Requirements & Responsibilities

Lead all second-shift manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and engagement
Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations and BRC/SQF standards
Manage and develop supervisors, crew leads, and production teams
Drive continuous improvement initiatives impacting OEE, yield, uptime, and cost
Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve production issues
Enforce safe work practices and conduct regular safety inspections
Align resources and priorities to meet operational and regulatory goals
Communicate clearly across shifts and leadership levels

Qualifications

8–10 years of food manufacturing experience
Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role
Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements
Experience leading teams in a multi-shift operation
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office
Lean or CI experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
