A leading regional distributor of welding equipment and industrial supplies is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Route Driver to deliver products to metal fabrication facilities and other industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of welding techniques, tool-and-die making, and metalworking processes, and will consistently perform all tasks with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Openings are available in Mt. Pleasant, TX; Friendswood, TX; and Grand Prairie, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver welding equipment, gases, and supplies to customer locations, including metal fabrication shops and industrial sites
- Utilize knowledge of welding, metalworking, and related processes to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries
- Maintain a safe driving record, adhere to all DOT regulations, and operate vehicles in compliance with company and legal standards
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure all safety equipment and PPE are used correctly
- Provide excellent customer service, representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Complete delivery logs, paperwork, and other required documentation accurately and promptly
- Follow all company safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training
Requirements:
- Current CDL driver’s license with hazardous materials endorsement (HAZMAT)
- Safe driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical exam
- Experience with welding, metalworking, or industrial deliveries preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
