Position Summary:
The Senior Product Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of power transformer, reactor, and CT coil product lines in the U.S. market. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, market insight, and strategic leadership to align customer requirements with engineering deliverables. The successful candidate will drive product development from concept to commercialization, ensuring product competitiveness and compliance with U.S. standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product and version roadmaps for transformers, reactors, and CT coils. Ensure alignment with market trends, customer needs, and company objectives.
- Customer & Market Insights:
- Engage directly with utilities, EPC firms, and power equipment manufacturers to gather and analyze technical and market requirements. Translate insights into clear, actionable Product Requirement Specifications (PRS).
- Order & Project Management:
- Support the sales team with bids, technical clarifications, and solution optimization. Oversee delivery schedules, installation support, and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.
- R&D Collaboration & Design Oversight:
- Serve as the bridge between market requirements and engineering design. Participate in design reviews, feasibility studies, and validation testing to ensure products meet ANSI, IEEE, CSA, and UL standards.
- New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Define and manage technical requirements for NPI projects, oversee prototype development, test results, and final deliverables to ensure smooth product launch.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Monitor global technological developments in transformers and power systems. Recommend and implement enhancements in product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the power equipment industry, with at least 3 years in product management, technical management, or R&D interface roles.
- Deep understanding of transformer, reactor, and CT coil design principles, manufacturing processes, and applications.
- Proven experience collaborating with utilities or power equipment manufacturers.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, CSA, and UL standards and compliance processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a market-oriented, results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel within North America as needed.
