Schedule:
5.5 to 6 days per week Two major meals per day + snacks Flexible hours to align with client’s variable daily schedule Meals prepped for irregular hours when needed
About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time Private Chef for a young, health-conscious male client with an active, performance-driven lifestyle. This role is ideal for a chef passionate about clean, whole-food cooking, nutritional precision, seasonal menu planning, and global culinary variety. Daily cooking should align with a high-protein, performance-oriented diet, while occasionally creating elevated special-occasion meals (e.g., date nights, guests). You’ll collaborate closely to develop a structured, repeatable meal system that adapts with training, wellness, and lifestyle goals. This position offers long-term stability, creative freedom within clear nutritional parameters, and the chance to become a trusted member of a discreet and respectful household.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and serve two high-quality meals per day plus healthy snacks – Maintain a high-protein, clean ingredient approach, aligned with workout schedule – Build weekly menus and a monthly produce plan that leverages seasonal availability – Incorporate Asian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Latin, and Modern American cuisines into rotation, with occasional Jewish meals (e.g., bagel spread, challah) – Italian/French fine dining only for special occasions – Balance nutrient awareness now, with the ability to track macros if desired in future – Source specialty or seasonal produce personally; delegate standard grocery runs to assistant – Maintain pantry and kitchen organization – Prepare grab-and-go meals for irregular eating times, while keeping most meals freshly prepared – Plate daily meals in a casual but refined manner; elevate plating for special occasions – Cook occasional guest meals that may deviate from client’s standard diet – Manage cleanup and ensure a clean, efficient kitchen environment – Collaborate with client, assistant, and other household staff
Culinary Approach & Cuisine Expectations:
Health-focused adaptation of global cuisines is essential — meals must align with a high-protein, clean-ingredient, nutrient-dense approach while still delivering rich, satisfying flavors. Core influences: Asian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Latin, and Modern American. Occasional Jewish-inspired meals (e.g., full bagel spread, challah) to be included as part of cultural variety. French and Italian fine dining reserved for special occasions, date nights, or guest events — executed with refinement but mindful of balance. Menus built around seasonal, local produce with a weekly menu plan and monthly produce/ingredient focus. Ingredient sourcing is at the highest possible quality level — from specialty purveyors, farmers markets, and trusted vendors, with chef personally sourcing specialty or seasonal items. Presentation: Casual but refined daily plating; elevated presentation for special occasions and entertaining.
Day in the Life (Sample Flow)
(Times approximate – flexibility required) Morning (7:00 AM) → Light prep or snacks if needed post-walk Midday (1:00–2:00 PM) → Lunch service (performance-focused, lighter carbs, high protein) Afternoon → Grocery sourcing, snack prep, kitchen reset, bulk staple prep if needed Evening (7:30–8:00 PM) → Dinner service (higher carbs post-training, nutrient-dense) Special Requests → Seasonal menu testing, occasional guest meals, event prep
Candidate Requirements:
– Experience as a private chef or in high-end restaurant, wellness retreat, or meal delivery settings – Strong knowledge of nutrition and performance eating – Expertise in multiple global cuisines (Asian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Latin, Modern American) – Familiarity with seasonal menu planning and produce sourcing – Culinary degree preferred, but not required with outstanding experience – Discreet, self-sufficient, clean, and respectful of household privacy – Ability to be strict and disciplined in maintaining food goals, but also adaptive when needed – Organized, communicative, and collaborative — able to work with assistant and other staff – Flexible with timing and able to adjust to variable daily routines
Ideal Personality Fit:
– Structured and organized, helping bring order to client’s eating routine – High discretion and professional demeanor – Warm and positive energy — “good vibe” is essential in the home – Passion for food, wellness, and making a meaningful impact on someone’s life
