We were retained by a Midtown Manhattan law firm that moves fast, thinks big, and thrives on creative problem-solving.

We’re looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking finance leader who understands the unique demands of a law firm and can keep pace with our entrepreneurial founder’s dynamic style. This is a part-time, in-office opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact while working a flexible schedule.

Part-Time CFO Benefits and Compensation:

  • 20 hours/week with flexibility based on project demands
  • Consistent, in-office schedule in a prime Midtown location
  • Opportunity to work directly with firm leadership and influence strategic financial decisions

Part-Time CFO Requirements & Qualifications (for screening):

  • Must have prior law firm finance leadership experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Zencase
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, and budgeting for a professional services firm
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfortable working fully in-office in Midtown Manhattan

Part-Time CFO Must Haves (day-to-day tasks):

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the firm’s financial operations
  • Prepare, review, and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll, billing, and collections processes
  • Collaborate closely with Head of Operations and firm owner to align financial processes with business objectives
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations
  • Provide financial insight to support decision-making and growth initiatives

Part-Time CFO Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience scaling a law firm or professional services business
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different work styles and personalities
  • Ability to anticipate needs and proactively address challenges
  • Experience managing transitions between finance leaders
