Tax Manager | Public Accounting | Franklin, TN | Remote
An established and growing public accounting firm based in Franklin, TN is hiring a Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This is a key leadership role with client-facing responsibilities and staff oversight. The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about delivering proactive tax strategy—not just compliance.

What You’ll Do:
· Manage tax engagements from planning to delivery
· Review complex returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 709, etc.)
· Advise clients on estate, gift, and trust planning
· Provide ongoing strategic tax guidance throughout the year
· Supervise and mentor staff-level team members
· Collaborate with audit and CFO advisory teams
· Stay up to date on tax law changes and ensure CPE/licensing compliance
Requirements:
· Active CPA or EA license (required)
· 5–7+ years of public accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
· Technical strength in trust and estate taxation
· Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
· Proficient in UltraTax, ProConnect, QuickBooks, Excel
· Experience with practice management tools like Karbon, Jetpack, or Canopy (a plus)
