He has recruited, developed, and led high-performing teams while navigating the realities of tight labor markets, complex operations, and evolving customer expectations. Over time, he found that the part of the job he loved most was matching the right people to the right opportunities and watching them thrive. That passion led him to focus his career on recruiting and talent strategy, where he now supports clients across hospitality, healthcare, and technology-adjacent roles. He now brings a business owner’s perspective to every search, thinking like a partner rather than a vendor.
As a Marine Corps veteran, James is on a mission to help fellow veterans transition into meaningful civilian careers and reduce veteran suicide through stable, dignified work and income. Goodwin Recruiting is his way of turning that mission into daily action, by connecting veterans with employers who truly value their skills and service. He has committed to donating 10% of his earnings to Veteran Service Organizations that supported him in his own transition so they can continue to impact and uplift other veterans in theirs.
