Our client is opening a new brewery in Dana Point, California and is searching for a strong high volume general manager with strong Front of House experience, has a hands-on ownership mentality and solid craft beer and cocktail expertise. Solid salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 plus added compensation based on revenue growth.

High Volume General Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience in a brewery, distillery, or high-volume casual dining environment
  • Proven success managing teams of 30+ employees
  • Experience analyzing P&L statements, managing budgets, and controlling costs
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts as required
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

High Volume General Manager Must Haves:

  • Oversee all daily operations including FOH, BOH, finance, payroll, training, and staff development
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and corrective action while fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Drive sales by identifying community opportunities, planning creative events, and building local partnerships
  • Ensure consistent food and beverage quality, maintaining high standards for scratch cooking and craft beverage service
  • Manage vendor relationships, inventory, ordering, and waste reduction
  • Handle cash control and compliance with company policies
  • Lead by example: punctual, professional, and team-oriented

High Volume General Manager Preferred Background and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of craft cocktails and beverage program leadership
  • Experience in event programming and local marketing (weddings, holiday promotions, theme nights)
  • Familiarity with modern POS systems (Toast, Seven Ships, or similar)
  • Track record of building systems and structure in an independent restaurant setting
  • Ownership mentality with proven ability to grow revenue and profitability
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable leveraging systems and tools to improve operations
