Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service, high-volume, bar-centric restaurant
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and scratch kitchen operations
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financials
Hands-on, servant leader mindset with a passion for hospitality
Flexibility, patience, and a willingness to learn encouraged
No ego—positive, team-first mentality

Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Experience in scratch kitchens is highly valued
Prior success motivating and coaching teams through busy service periods

Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Coach, motivate, and develop kitchen staff to deliver excellent food and service
Foster a hospitality-focused, “get it done” culture in the kitchen
Maintain top-notch food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory, prep, and service execution
Manage budgets and control kitchen costs with attention to financial goals
