We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive HR Generalist to support all aspects of Human Resources and administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and enjoys being a key support partner to leadership, staff, and the HR function. If you are mission-driven, dedicated to supporting children in a non-profit setting, and are well-versed in HR regulations and compliance, employee relations, benefits administration, and records management, we would love to meet you!

HR Generalist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new employees
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Assist with employee relations issues and conflict resolution
  • Manage filing, archiving, and documentation systems
  • Support job descriptions, compensation updates, evaluations, promotions, and status changes
  • Provide administrative support to Directors and the Administrative Team

HR Generalist Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role (Generalist or similar)
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and HR software systems
  • Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and highly detail-oriented
  • Experience with unemployment claims, compliance, employee recruitment and onboarding, employee health insurance, and records management
  • Team-oriented mindset
