Chef / General Manager Benefits & Compensation

Chef / General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry (general manager, executive chef, assistant manager, or similar roles)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial results and elevate guest experiences in a busy restaurant environment
  • Strong operational skills, including P&L management, scheduling, and inventory
  • Self-starter and collaborative leader, visible and approachable in the restaurant and community
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred

Chef / General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Previous experience working in or building community partnerships
  • Passion for blending tradition with creative, guest-focused innovation
  • Strong communication and team-building skills

Chef / General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee all restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory management, budgeting, menu, and financial performance
  • Hire, train, and motivate a diverse, high-performing team, fostering a positive, inclusive culture
  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience through consistently high standards for food, service, and hospitality
  • Drive sales growth and profitability through creative promotions and community engagement
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the floor and participate in local events to build the restaurant’s reputation
  • Lead by example, embracing change and continuous improvement while ensuring health, safety, and regulatory compliance
