Tax Lawyer – Renewable Energy & Project Finance
Role Overview Seeking a tax lawyer with a strong interest in renewable energy and the energy transition to join a project finance group. This role involves supporting senior associates and partners who work with project developers, lenders, and investors on solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas, green hydrogen, electric transmission, and similar projects. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge developments in federal tax law and work closely with leading practitioners in the field.
Key Requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience as a tax lawyer
- Familiarity with renewable energy incentives (e.g., tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act) and partnership taxation preferred
- Strong academic credentials
- LLM in taxation preferred
- Prior work experience within a large law firm preferred

Compensation
- Base salary range: $235,000 – $365,000 (commensurate with skill and experience)
