Master Stylist Requirements & Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license
- 7+ years of advanced styling experience in luxury salons, resorts, or high-end spas
- Proven leadership experience mentoring, developing, or managing a stylist team
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a Creative Director or lead stylist, supported by a strong portfolio
- Deep understanding of emerging trends, high-fashion styling, and editorial techniques
- Strong communication, guest-service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support VIP experiences, brand collaborations, and resort events
Master Stylist Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead the salon’s creative direction, including seasonal looks, service menu enhancements, and brand aesthetic
- Train, coach, and mentor stylists on advanced techniques, product innovation, and luxury guest service standards
- Provide premium-level cutting, color, styling, and treatment services with impeccable technical artistry
- Collaborate with spa leadership on merchandising, product forecasting, budgeting, and operational efficiency
Master Stylist Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in Forbes-rated, Five-Star, or ultra-luxury beauty environments
- Editorial, runway, or photoshoot experience showcasing trend-driven creative work
- Strong background in luxury product lines, beauty innovation, and high-end client customization
- Experience participating in marketing initiatives, influencer engagements, or brand activations
