A luxury resort destination seeking a transformative Vice President of Operations. This executive leadership role will directly shape the standards, performance, and culture across a multi-property luxury operation known for delivering some of the highest service levels in the country.
Vice President of Operations – Benefits & Compensation

Vice President of Operations – Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, including oversight of at least 3 properties and 300+ rooms
- Experience in a Forbes-rated, Five-Star, or Five-Diamond environment strongly preferred
- Proven success leading complex, multi-unit operations with luxury guest service standards
- Demonstrated experience managing front office, housekeeping, F&B, spa, recreation, guest experience, and specialty operations
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, forecasting, and labor controls
- Track record of building, developing, and coaching high-performing leaders
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and guest-relations abilities
- Ability to excel in a hands-on, highly involved operational environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or advanced credentials preferred
- Comfortable relocating to a remote luxury resort destination
Vice President of Operations – Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in independently owned ultra-luxury resorts or lifestyle hospitality brands
- Prior leadership in high-touch environments such as large estates, boutique luxury hotels, destination resorts, casinos, or mixed-use hospitality portfolios
- Strong background in Forbes training, luxury standards development, or service culture transformation
- Expertise in large-scale renovations, new property openings, or multimillion-dollar capital projects
- Familiarity with advanced hospitality systems: PMS, RMS, labor forecasting tools, and luxury service technology
- Creative and innovative mindset with ability to elevate traditional guest offerings
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment with exceptionally high service expectations
Vice President of Operations – Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead daily executive oversight across multiple hotels, specialty venues, and luxury guest environments
- Serve as a highly visible presence on property, engaging directly with VIPs, UHNW guests, and high-profile clientele
- Drive Forbes-level service execution through coaching, standards enforcement, and cross-department alignment
- Oversee operational preparedness for large-scale events, peak seasons, VIP arrivals, and property-wide activations
- Direct strategic staffing plans, talent development, and succession pipelines for all operational departments
- Implement performance dashboards, service audits, and property-wide quality assurance programs
- Partner with ownership, finance, sales, and marketing on annual planning and revenue optimization
- Identify operational enhancements, technology upgrades, and guest-experience innovations
- Lead risk management, safety, compliance, and regulatory readiness across all properties
